As you may know, Instagram is owned by Facebook.

On April 9, 2012 – Facebook acquired Instagram for about $1 billion in cash and stock.

Today, Instagram is valued at over $100 billion dollars. Needless to say, that was a pretty good investment.

And unlike Facebook, Instagram is growing its userbase in the United States.

But here’s my concern with Instagram advertising … Instagram was not built for commerce. It was built for entertainment. And there is a huge difference.

But yet and still, there are over 2 million monthly advertisers on Instagram.

your job is to evaluate whether or not Instagram is a viable marketing channel for ACME’s men and women’s clothing line.

ACME is a B2B software company with a relatively long sales cycle.
